COHORT EXPERIENCES
A life well lived is full of meaningful connections, community, and learning opportunities.
I curate gatherings, cohort experiences, and workshops, both virtually and safely in-person, where people can come together for meaningful conversation, connections, community, and capacity-building. Wherever you are, you belong here.
Cohort Experiences:
When you think of community, what do you imagine?
Having spent much of my career focused on building community through developing facilitated experiences, there are a few things that I believe to be true.
By standard definition, a community is composed of people who live in the same space or have a shared characteristic. A better definition is one that includes a sense of fellowship, that allows for people to be seen and supported for who they are, that creates space for people to connect deeply and openly on and about shared experiences.
To build a community, the container you create matters. Communities don’t just happen - they are built by the people who are a part of them. They require a hefty dose of structure along with a spaciousness that allows things to flow. They require community members to show up fully, vulnerably, and with a sense of love, allowing themselves and others to bring their full selves.
Community is important. Without it, we often feel lonely, isolated, and unseen. We may walk through the world wondering, Am I the only one who feels this way? Does anyone else get it? What should I DO?! With community comes validation, a sense of togetherness, and the feeling of being seen.
When you think of coaching, what do you imagine?
I completed my formal coach training nearly six years ago, and there are a few things I believe to be true.
The purpose of coaching is to catalyze transformation. A great coach believes in the wholeness, the wisdom, and the ability of their clients to achieve the goals they dream up.
A great coach provides space - they listen deeply, they ask important questions, and they inspire - without judgment, without pushing their own agenda, or without attachment to the outcome. It’s all about the client, and getting them from here to there - as the client defines it.
While coaching often takes places 1:1, there is great power in group coaching. Of bringing together a group of people - a community - and supporting them as a collective. Group coaching allows for a level of support that is even greater, a sense of belonging, and a lifetime of community.
The BUILD cohort is a virtual six-week facilitated group coaching experience. The first very cohort will launch in fall 2023 and engage 4-6 people who are launching or growing their own businesses.
