Life Lately: September 2023
What a month September has been! It feels fitting that I am writing this on Saturday evening, on the last day of the month. I have felt perpetually behind on everything this month, which isn’t a feeling that I love - but with everything happening right now, it’s understandable and I’m giving myself a whole lot of grace - I hope you are too. The month started with a great vacation on Cape Cod for Adriana’s fourth birthday. We typically spend the last week of August through Labor Day there, and it was my first “trip” since my hip surgery. While I wasn’t able to walk as much as I normally do and the jellyfish were in full force - it was a relaxing and fun week. Upon returning home, things picked up quickly. The fall is very busy at work, and my graduate program requires a lot of work. And every in between moment seems to be accounted for!
I signed up to be an assistant coach for Adriana’s soccer team - it’s a lot of fun, despite having a few games/practices rained out thus far. We had a really special MamaConnect discussion in early September - it was small and perfect, exactly what each of us needed. The first half the month also included the Franklin County Fair, a playdate, a mom date (at one of my new favorite places - Grafton Grill & Crust, if you’re local!). The second half of the month brought Flow + Grow which was AMAZING, the launch of the BUILD cohort, a couples night out with Central Mass Mom, and a family birthday party. Most importantly, my little guy turned TWO and we celebrated with a small family birthday party as well. As we finish the month, I feel like I’m getting more into a groove. And now, we are headed into one of my two favorite months of the year. October, here we come!
Watching/Reading/Listening: With everything going on, I have had very little time to consume any entertainment. TV shows included Pain Killer, Evil, in the spirit of spooky season, and RHONY. I read Under the Skin and a lot of textbooks and psychological journals. My favorite podcast episode of the month was on We Can Do Hard Things with Oprah.
What I’m Loving: I have to give a moment for Flow + Grow. When my friend Ari and I dreamed this up a few months ago, we knew it would be special - and it exceeded my expectations. I love building community, and to bring in fall with an incredible group of local women, felt oh-so-special. I just bought these new boots and I am obsessed (on major sale right now). I just put up a bunch of new Halloween decorations - I’m especially loving my bats and my Halloween Village.
101 in 1001: I went on my first whale watch, ever! Growing up in New England, I don’t know how I missed this - but it was everything I was hoping for. We saw so many whales and I was glad to knock if off my list.
WHAT’S NEXT: I have a lot of exciting things in the works, and hope this new format of sharing them is helpful.
Six Week Wellness Exploration: Starting tomorrow (10/1) I will be sharing wellness-focused content on social for the next six weeks. The purpose is to facilitate exploration across different elements of wellness, so that we each can further our journey towards deciding what optimal wellness looks like to us. I’m creating it as I go, and really excited for it!

1:1 Coaching Sessions
Long-Term Coaching: I am fully booked for the fall. If you’re interested in a coaching engagement, I’ll be taking on new clients in January - I expect to book far in advance then too, so if you’re interested in working with me - reach out soon.
One Session Intensive: If you have a particular (and short-term!) life, work, or business challenge you are looking for support on, you can book a 1-time session with me. You’ll walk away with increased clarity, new ideas, major inspiration, and a short-term plan.
On a personal note, in October I’ll be heading to Salem, Western MA, and hopefully VT and/or NH to enjoy the foliage!
